Fantasy League Rankings - CC Sabathia
Moskwa's pick of the day....
www.baseballstrategies.com
In today's baseball review of yesterdays ranking I look at Cliff Lee. He definitely did not throw as well as I was hoping, giving up 6 earned runs, and 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings. The only saving grace for fantasy baseball managers in the game last night was that he collected a win. The big score for fantasy baseball managers last night was Willis, I think my words last night were don't count Willis out for a big point night! Wish I took my own advice there.
So what do we do about fantasy games for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for that matter, considering I'm leaving town for the last road trip of the fall season.
Plan on Carpenter to get the house built on Friday, the Rocket Roger Clemens to fly the Astros to yet another amazing flight through the cosmos, and as for Sunday unfortunately I can't comment on these games, it's just too far ahead for me to look to it with any sort of accuracy.
That said, my favorite pick for the week, an absolute must have in your rotation for this week would be CC Sabathia.

With CC Sabathia as hot as he is, the Indians might be hot contenders for a World Series Ring this year. This guy is as hot as his team this month and continues to heat it up. He is 8-2 in the last 10 games he has appeared. What I like is that it appears that he controls the outcomes of the game. He is one of very few arms in the league that collect a desision in as any outtings. His ERA this month is 0.59 and 1.24 over the last 30 days. This is one hot indian, and take a look at the tale of the tape, 6 foot 7 left hander weighing in at 290lbs! Born in 1980, makes him a force to be reckoned with not only this week and weeks to come, but years and years to come!
BB/K: 0.28
H/IP: 0.70
ERA: 2.18
MOS: 1.05
MOS: [(BB/K)+(H/IP)+(ERA)]/3
Scouting Report:
In his last outing, Sabathia continued his second-half revival with a dominant performance against the Royals. He overpowered Kansas City, stopping the dangerous Mike Sweeney cold. Now, the 25-year-old Sabathia will have the Royals again, and he can expect them to make adjustments against him in this second outing in a week.
Lima has lost four straight decisions and eight of his last nine starts, hardly the kind of record that might lead to an invitation to return next season. In his last start, also against the Indians, he was battered for eight runs on nine hits including two home runs. He lasted just four innings. His touches of brilliance, such as a 1-0 complete-game loss to the Tigers, have been infrequent.
